Sunday, 21, 2025: uring the “Leadership by Will” national campaign launch, Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi revealed two major projects aimed at revitalizing Kuwait’s tourism and media sectors.
Visit Kuwait” Platform to Launch in November
The “Visit Kuwait” digital platform will go live on November 1, 2025. Al-Mutairi described it as a “modern tourism pulse” designed to offer a seamless, integrated experience for visitors.
The platform will serve as a central hub, bringing together both government and private entities. It will provide a single point of access for tourists and investors, offering:
- Electronic tourist visas
- An interactive map to help visitors find destinations and services
- A smart assistant named “Rashid” to answer questions and provide information
- Special offers and discounts in partnership with the private sector
The goal is for the platform to embody Kuwaiti hospitality and serve as a “tourism memory” that documents all aspects of a visitor’s experience.
Kuwait TV to Launch New Programming
Al-Mutairi also announced a major refresh of Kuwait TV’s programming lineup, set to begin in October. The new cycle will feature 18 diverse programs covering culture, entertainment, and art. These include new seasons of successful shows as well as brand-new programs designed to appeal to modern audiences.
The News Channel will also be upgraded with 13 new programs and an additional 15 developed shows. The minister stated that this will help the channel become a more comprehensive and reliable source of news, capable of competing with regional and international outlets. He described the channel as “the voice of the citizen” and a platform for telling stories about Kuwaiti society.
Leadership by Will” Campaign
The “Leadership by Will” campaign aims to celebrate the determination of the Kuwaiti people—past and present. The campaign highlights how willpower has driven Kuwait’s success and positions it as a key value for building a prosperous future. Al-Mutairi emphasized that these new projects are part of an integrated strategy to build a modern media landscape and a promising tourism scene that reflects Kuwait’s standing. He added that the initiatives are not temporary but are designed to be a collaborative effort with society, the private sector, and the youth, making them true partners in the journey.
