Mandatory Vehicle Insurance: Traffic Department Releases List of Approved Providers

Kuwait, 12, Nov, 2025: Through Resolution No. (2) of 2025, the General Traffic Department has confirmed the official list of companies licensed to provide mandatory civil liability insurance for vehicles.

Only the firms on this list are authorized to provide mandatory vehicle insurance. The department strongly encourages all motorists to confirm they are dealing solely with an approved company when securing or renewing their policies.

According to the decision, the following companies are authorized:

Baitak Takaful Insurance Company,

Gulf Insurance Group,

Gulf Takaful Insurance Company,

Al-Ahlia Insurance Company,

Al-Daman Takaful Insurance Company,

Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company,

Arab Islamic Takaful Insurance Company,

First Takaful Insurance Company,

Zamzam Takaful Insurance Company (a branch of Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company),

Kuwait International Takaful Insurance Company,

Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company,

Lebanese Swiss Guarantee Company,

Kuwait Qatar Insurance Company,

Enaya Insurance Company (a branch of Saudi Arabian Insurance Company),

Burgan Takaful Insurance Company,

Arab Insurance Company,

Taazur Takaful Insurance Company,

International Takaful Insurance Company,

Wethaq Takaful Insurance Company,

Elaf Takaful Insurance Company,

Misr Insurance Company,

Boubyan Takaful Insurance Company,

The Traffic Department strongly emphasized that any policy issued by an unapproved company will be considered invalid under the new regulations.
