
Kuwait: At the opening of the Seventh Kuwait Conference on Combating Cybercrime, Najat Ibrahim, Acting Director of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), reaffirmed the nation’s dedication to establishing a world-class cybersecurity framework. Speaking at the Jumeirah Hotel, Ibrahim emphasized that while digital transformation drives progress, it necessitates a unified national defense to protect the economy and individual privacy from increasingly sophisticated threats.
A highlight of the summit was the unveiling of a new AI-powered analysis platform by Conference Chairman Mohammed Al-Jassem. Developed in collaboration with Interpol, the tool is designed to accelerate response times by instantly analyzing cybercrime reports. Furthermore, CITRA Vice Chair Manal Al-Mazeed stressed that maintaining public trust in the digital future depends on rigorous security standards and seamless inter-agency coordination.
