Kuwaiti security forces have dismantled an illicit food manufacturing ring operating out of a residential home in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) arrested 12 individuals of Arab and Asian nationalities for producing children’s snacks in an unlicensed facility that ignored basic hygiene standards.
Following a period of surveillance, the Criminal Security Sector raided the site, discovering that the suspects were distributing these products to cooperative societies nationwide. To bypass regulations, the group claimed the items were made in licensed factories, whereas they were actually prepared in an unsanitary residential basement. The operation was a joint effort between the MoI and various regulatory bodies, including the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
