Kuwait: The Ministry of Interior announced the seizure of 3,144 bottles of smuggled alcohol hidden within a container falsely declared as iron sheets. The discovery occurred during a precautionary inspection led by Saleh Al-Omar, Deputy Director General of Customs, after the shipment remained unclaimed past the legal deadline.
Customs officers found the liquor “innovatively concealed” inside the industrial materials. Following the bust, the General Administration of Customs coordinated with the General Directorate for Drug Control to process the evidence and track down those responsible. Authorities reaffirmed their dedication to tightening border security and preventing future smuggling attempts.
