A female resident was arrested for attempting to smuggle $250,000 while crossing the Abdali port.
According to a report by Al Rai Arabic newspaper, Customs officers at Abdali noticed the woman walking unusually in the customs area, as if she was concealing something with her clothing. Upon being referred to an inspector, it was revealed that she was attempting to smuggle $250,000.
The report also mentioned that the arrested resident did not disclose the reason for smuggling the money or its source. She has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
