In a concentrated effort to bolster public safety, the General Traffic Department and Emergency Police registered 27,969 traffic infractions during a series of intensive nationwide campaigns this month. Between January 11 and 18, security operations resulted in the apprehension of wanted fugitives, reckless motorists, and individuals violating residency or narcotics laws. Beyond the citations, authorities impounded 333 vehicles and 25 motorcycles linked to judicial orders.
