
Unlicensed Clinic Shut Down in Hawalli; Asian National Arrested
30, Sep, 2025, Hawalli detectives arrested an Asian expatriate for illegally practicing medicine without the required license. The suspect had converted a room in an old building into an unauthorized clinic, primarily treating expatriates of his same nationality.
During the raid, officers seized a large inventory of medications, including Ministry of Health-issued drugs, imported medicines, abortion pills, painkillers, and sedatives. The suspect confessed to illegally providing medical services and selling abortion pills for KD 35 each. The individual and the evidence have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal proceedings.
