KUWAIT CITY — Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, confirmed that recent inspections of tourist and hotel establishments have resulted in 17 recorded violations. Infractions included withholding services, failing to provide Arabic-language invoices, and lacking transparent, approved price lists.
These inspections were carried out by a specialized committee established last November to oversee the classification and quality of hospitality services. Al-Ansari noted that the teams are following a structured schedule to ensure market regulation and consumer protection. While the Ministry is committed to enforcing legal procedures, it also emphasizes a corrective approach, notifying establishments of their need to comply with regulations before imposing final penalties.
