Municipality Launches “Baladia 139” App to Streamline Complaints and Services
The Kuwait Municipality has introduced a new mobile application, “Baladia 139,” designed to create a direct and efficient communication channel between citizens and municipal officials.
According to Mohammad Al-Sandan, Director of Public Relations, the app allows users to easily report violations and issues by uploading photos and location details, ensuring faster response times and transparency. The system prioritizes complaints based on severity, aiming to resolve issues within four to 72 hours. Users receive notifications, including confirmation photos, once action is taken.
The app also enhances internal accountability by including a feature to monitor the performance of inspectors and staff. This provides officials with real-time updates and monthly reports, ensuring better oversight. Al-Sandan affirmed the Municipality’s commitment to continuously updating and improving the app to enhance public service quality.
