KUWAIT CITY, Feb 3: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has launched a decentralized mechanism for handling labor complaints, specifically targeting disputes involving small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Under the new system, workers can now file complaints at labor relations departments within their respective governorates, ending the previous requirement to process all cases through the Mubarak Al-Kabeer center. By shifting away from a centralized model, PAM aims to reduce administrative pressure and ensure a more balanced distribution of caseloads.
Key features of the update include:
Localized Filings: Complaints are handled by the governorate where the worker or business is located.
Appointment-Based System: Cases are scheduled based on the nature of the dispute to ensure organized processing.
Efficiency Gains: The move is designed to save time for expatriate workers and stabilize the labor market through faster legal resolutions.
