Kuwait: In a significant step toward digital transformation, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has launched the “Multiple-Trip Departure Permit” service. Designed to streamline travel for the workforce and reduce administrative burdens for employers, this new feature allows for permits that cover several journeys within a set timeframe, replacing the previous single-trip requirement.
Integrated directly with the Ministry of Interior, the system ensures real-time data synchronization. Additionally, PAM introduced a “Pre-Approval” feature, allowing authorized signatories to grant standing travel permission for specific individuals or entire workforces. Once activated via the Sahel or Sahel Business apps, permits are issued automatically upon a worker’s request, though employers maintain the right to revoke this status at any time.
