Major Engineer Ali Al-Qattan, Head of the Central Control Management Department at the Traffic and Operations Sector, announced the deployment of 270 surveillance cameras to monitor traffic conditions, manage accidents, and address vehicle breakdowns as the new school year begins.
These cameras will play a key role in overseeing traffic in high-traffic areas and detecting congestion, especially on major expressways like the Fifth Ring Road, Fahaheel Road, and King Fahd Expressway.
He highlighted that traffic flow has been smooth and efficient, with real-time monitoring enabling adjustments to traffic signals and the prompt dispatch of patrols to resolve any issues. This proactive strategy aims to reduce congestion and manage disruptions effectively.
