The Kuwait National Seismic Network, part of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), recorded a 3.5 magnitude earthquake in northeastern Kuwait on Wednesday. The quake, which struck at 4:46 p.m. local time, had a depth of 6 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. Later, at 6:33 p.m., an aftershock with a magnitude of 2.2 was detected in the same area, also at a depth of 6 kilometers. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, but there have been no reports of significant damage or injuries.
