A Kuwaiti national with a criminal record was detained by Jahra security patrol officers on Al-Salmi Road while driving under the influence of drugs and in possession of air gun, drug paraphernalia, and sachets of the drug crystal meth. Authorities became aware of the thirty-something suspect after he was observed driving his sports car at a high speed. He disobeyed orders to stop and ran in the direction of Jahra.
The individual was taken into custody by the security team when they launched an ambush, and he was then turned over to the police to face charges. In a different occasion, security officers found three people using drugs in the Hawalli neighborhood and reported them to the General Administration for Narcotics Control. The trio was discovered in possession of drug paraphernalia, a bottle of beer, and narcotics. When security guards saw three people in a parked car, they knew they were high. This was discovered when the police patrolled the Hawalli neighborhood. When they were searched after being arrested, illegal substances were discovered on them. They admitted to attending an evening party at an apartment and said they were headed home during the initial interrogation.
