Akasa Air Launches Daily Flights Between Kuwait and Mumbai Starting August 23

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved Indian airline Akasa’s request to begin flights between Kuwait International Airport and Mumbai Airport. Starting August 23, Akasa will offer daily flights on this route, with a total of seven flights per week. Raed Al-Taher, Air Transport Controller for Flight Operations at the DGCA, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this new service aligns with the DGCA’s efforts to improve direct flight options for passengers traveling to and from Kuwait. Currently, Akasa will operate flights exclusively between Kuwait and Mumbai, but the airline plans to expand to other destinations in India in the near future. Al-Taher noted that Akasa’s new service will help meet the growing demand for flights between Kuwait and India, benefiting both Kuwaiti citizens and residents, and enhancing the connection between the two countries.
