Customs seizes 12,000 bottles of concealed alcohol at Shuwaikh Port

Customs officers at Shuwaikh Port have seized a 40-foot container from an Asian country containing a large quantity of alcohol concealed within household furniture. According to a statement on the customs website via the “X” platform, the discovery was made during an inspection using an X-ray device, which revealed foreign objects necessitating a thorough examination.

Upon detailed inspection, officers found approximately 12,000 bottles of alcohol of six different types hidden among the boxes and furniture. All necessary customs procedures were followed, and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities. The General Administration of Customs issued a stern warning to those attempting to smuggle narcotic substances and prohibited goods of any kind into the country, emphasizing that violators will face legal consequences and stringent customs measures.
