Egyptian doctor sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for identity theft

The Court of Appeal has upheld the Criminal Court’s decision to sentence an Egyptian doctor to five years in prison. The doctor was convicted of impersonating a Kuwaiti citizen, entering Kuwait with a stolen Egyptian passport, and altering her appearance to resemble the citizen. Initially, the Public Prosecution detained her for 21 days before transferring the case to the Criminal Court for trial.
