Kuwait’s security services successfully captured an escaped Egyptian prisoner within 24 hours, officials reported.
The incident occurred while the prisoner was being transported, along with other inmates, to Kuwait International Airport for deportation. During the transfer, he managed to escape, prompting an immediate response from authorities.
Security teams were quickly mobilized, and search efforts were ramped up. Authorities shared the prisoner’s information across relevant sectors and closely monitored potential hiding spots. The deportation administration team located him in an abandoned hotel in the Al-Raqi area, where he was found hiding under an old mattress in one of the rooms. Thanks to these coordinated efforts, security forces were able to swiftly pinpoint the prisoner’s location and arrest him in record time.
He has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
