An Ethiopian gang that targeted shops, restaurants, and exchange offices has been arrested. In an ongoing effort by the Ministry of Interior to fight crime and enhance public safety, the General Department of Criminal Investigations, in collaboration with the Hawalli Governorate Investigations Department, apprehended a group of five Ethiopian nationals involved in these thefts. The investigation started after a nighttime robbery was reported at an exchange office. A specialized search team from the Salmiya Police Station was quickly deployed. By leveraging modern technology and intensifying their efforts, the team identified and arrested the suspects. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to all charges. They have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings.
