Investigators are actively searching for two unidentified thieves who stole 900 dinars from a 30-year-old expatriate. According to a security source, the expatriate reported that he was approached by two individuals posing as detectives while leaving a local bank. The impostors accused him of having money linked to drug sales and demanded he hand it over.
Despite the expatriate’s attempts to explain that he was not involved with drugs, the men insisted on taking him to the police station and demanded the money, instructing him to follow up at the station later. When he refused, the suspects forcibly knocked him to the ground. The victim described the attackers as slim and dark-skinned. Authorities are now reviewing the bank’s security footage to identify the suspects or their vehicle.
