Hawally crackdown results in the arrest of 32 individuals without identification, 24 residency violators, and the seizure of 15 wanted vehicles

The Ministry of Interior carried out a significant security operation in Hawalli, supervised directly by Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and maintain public order. In a statement issued today, the General Department of Security Relations and Media announced that the operation involved multiple departments, including the General Department of Traffic, the General Department of Rescue Police, and the Public Security Sector, with support from the Special Security Forces. Female police officers also played an active role in reinforcing security across various levels.

The Ministry reported that the operation resulted in the issuance of 1,895 traffic violations, the arrest of 32 individuals without identification, and 24 residency and labor law violators. Additionally, authorities seized 15 wanted vehicles, apprehended 15 individuals sought for absconding, impounded nine vehicles and motorcycles, arrested 16 people with outstanding warrants, and detained two individuals for possessing intoxicating substances.

The involvement of female police officers was crucial in improving the operation’s effectiveness, particularly in handling violations involving women. This reflects the Ministry’s commitment to creating a comprehensive security environment that serves all community members.

The Ministry reiterated its ongoing dedication to conducting security and traffic operations as part of a broader strategic plan to enhance safety nationwide. It emphasized its commitment to implementing all necessary measures to achieve its security goals efficiently and effectively.
