Health Minister Recognizes Dr. Ramesh Pandita for 32 Years of Service in Kuwait

Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi recently honored Dr. Ramesh Pandita, a distinguished Indian physician, for his outstanding contributions to Kuwait’s healthcare system. At a ceremony attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Dr. Pandita was presented with a commemorative memento as he retired after over 30 years of service.

Dr. Pandita, who graduated from the University of Kashmir in 1977 and obtained his MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 1982, has been a key figure in the Hematology Department at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center. For 32 years, he focused on treating and providing follow-up care for blood cancer patients, particularly those with leukemia and myeloma.

Throughout his career, Dr. Pandita has also played a significant role in training many doctors and specialists in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization. He also served as the former president of the Indian Doctors Forum Kuwait, representing Indian doctors practicing in Kuwait. His leadership and contributions have profoundly impacted both the healthcare sector and the Indian community in Kuwait.
