Kuwait plans dawn raids on expats violating residence rules

The Ministry of Interior will start a security plan at dawn on Monday to arrest Residency Law violators who did not use the grace period to leave the country or amend their status. The grace period, extended until the end of June, lasted over three months. About 35,000 violators have complied, but 85,000 remain. Another extension is not considered.

Assistant Director Brigadier General Mazyad Al-Mutairi warned that no violator will escape once the deadline ends. The campaign will cover all governorates, involving various security departments and supported by Special Forces if needed. The operation will run around the clock, and arrested individuals will be deported immediately after legal measures. Authorities will take action against anyone harboring violators, including legal accountability and bearing the expenses of the violators.
