Kuwaiti, Egyptian, and Lebanese Nationals Arrested for Visa Trafficking and Forgery in Kuwait

A gang consisting of a Kuwaiti citizen, an Egyptian, and a Lebanese national, who were involved in residency trafficking, forgery, and manipulation through freight transport companies, has been arrested.

In a statement on its “X” platform account, the ministry highlighted that, following directives from the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, efforts have been ramped up to monitor illegal activities and enhance search and investigation operations against lawbreakers, with a strong commitment to combating crime. The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations, specifically the Search and Investigation Department, successfully apprehended the three individuals.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were engaged in transferring the residencies of workers already in the country to their company and registering their vehicles. This scheme was aimed at obtaining the maximum number of vehicle operating licenses, which were then submitted to the relevant authorities to inflate the company’s “estimated need.” This allowed them to recruit more workers and issue Kuwaiti driving licenses to individuals who did not meet the General Traffic Department’s criteria, in exchange for money. The suspects have been referred to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.
