Kuwaiti national and two Indian nationals apprehended for diesel theft

Authorities have ordered the detention of a Kuwaiti citizen and two Indian workers he employed on charges of stealing diesel from an oil company and selling it to truck drivers on the convoy road.

According to reports, an employee at the oil company discovered the scheme and promptly notified the Ministry of Interior’s operations unit. A case was filed and referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigations. The investigation revealed that the Kuwaiti had been carrying out his illegal activities in the Al-Wafra desert under the pretense of sheep herding. He had set up a makeshift shelter and was assisted by two Indian workers who drove tanker trucks. They were stealing diesel from an oil company location, transferring it into water tanks to avoid detection, and then selling it to truck drivers who had been tipped off by the two workers.

The Kuwaiti citizen and his accomplices were arrested. During questioning, the Kuwaiti admitted to selling the stolen diesel for 200 dinars per tanker, with the remaining proceeds shared between the two workers. Following these confessions, the investigator ordered their detention and transfer to central prison pending further investigation.
