The Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of a new service to facilitate biometric fingerprinting for bedridden individuals and those with moderate to severe mental disabilities, directly at their locations. This service is a collaborative effort between the General Department of Criminal Evidence and the General Department of Information Systems and will be available starting Sunday, August 18, 2024.
This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to improving community services, particularly for people with special needs and those confined to bed. It aims to ensure that these individuals can access essential government services without unnecessary difficulty.
To utilize this service, individuals must submit all necessary health-related documents via WhatsApp to the number 94458124. After submission, they will be contacted to schedule an appointment for the biometric fingerprinting procedure.
Moreover, the Ministry has extended the deadline for completing biometric fingerprinting: citizens have until September 30, and residents until December 31 of this year. Failure to complete biometric fingerprinting by these deadlines will result in the suspension of transactions for both citizens and residents.
