On Saturday, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that it actively monitors and blocks scam websites, taking all necessary legal actions to address these illegal activities.

According to a press statement from the General Department of Security Relations and Media, the Department of Combating Cybercrime, in collaboration with relevant authorities, has successfully removed approximately 392 scam websites. This includes 52 websites impersonating the domestic workers company Al-Durra.

The Department also blocked over 662 fraudulent Kuwaiti WhatsApp numbers, with 65 percent of these numbers impersonating the company.

The Ministry urged the public to use only trusted websites and verify their credibility before making any purchases or using services through the Kuwait Mobile ID application or other sites. They emphasized the importance of checking website names carefully and being cautious with Wix sites, which are created using the free online web creator Wix, to protect financial and personal information and avoid falling victim to scams.
