The Criminal Court sentenced a woman to 47 years in prison and her boyfriend to 15 years with hard labor. The woman injected her 13-year-old daughter with a high volume of insulin to kill her and allowed her boyfriend to molest the girl. She admitted it was an act of revenge against her daughter for discovering her forbidden relationship with the boyfriend, depriving all her children of their basic rights. The Public Prosecution called for the maximum punishment for both the mother and her boyfriend, deeming it one of the most heinous crimes against humanity.
