New rules established for moving employees from government projects to the private sector

The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, has announced a decision allowing the transfer of workers hired under government contracts and projects to other sectors, effective November 3.

This decision includes five conditions that must be met for the transfer to occur:

1. The government contract or project must have ended.
2. A letter from the government entity overseeing the contract or project must be submitted to the Public Authority for Manpower, confirming its conclusion and stating that the workers are no longer needed.
3. At least one year must have passed since the worker was hired under the government contract.
4. The employer associated with the worker must consent to the transfer.
5. A fee of 350 dinars must be paid.
