To commemorate the 77th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence, the Embassy hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Chancery on 14 August 2024. The event saw a large turnout of Pakistani community members, including many women and children. Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were shared, emphasizing the importance of the nation’s collective effort and dedication towards its development and progress.

In his address, the Charge d’ Affaires (a.i.) honored the forefathers of the Nation for their unwavering services and sacrifices, which led to the establishment of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent. He highlighted that Pakistan is endowed with a talented youth population and that all the resources of the State and society should be invested in their education and growth. Marking this historic 77th Independence anniversary, the Charge d’ Affaires (a.i.) extended his congratulations and encouraged community members to commit themselves to the progress and development of Pakistan with diligence and wholehearted effort. He also recognized the contributions of Pakistanis living in Kuwait to the progress and development of both countries. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting event, attended by a significant number of Pakistani children, women, and notable community figures.
