The General Department for Drug Control has referred two military personnel from a criminal investigation department to the Public Prosecution for drug possession and use. This move highlights the commitment to enforcing the law impartially, regardless of one’s position. According to a security source, a tip-off led to the arrest of a military officer from an investigation office, who was found with narcotics after a parliamentary permit was obtained. During questioning, the officer disclosed the involvement of a colleague from another investigation office, who was later arrested in the Hawalli Governorate, where additional narcotics were found in his possession.
