Kuwait: The Ministry of Interior has reiterated that obstructing emergency vehicles or official convoys is a serious offense, punishable by up to three months in prison and fines between 150 and 300 KD.
Authorities stressed that motorists must immediately grant the right-of-way to ambulances, fire engines, police units, and civil defense vehicles when sirens or emergency lights are active. To ensure a clear path for responders, drivers should reduce speed, move safely toward the right shoulder, and come to a complete stop if required. Failure to comply with these life-saving protocols may result in incarceration, heavy financial penalties, or both.
