
07, Jan, 2026: The Criminal Court, under the leadership of Judge Khaled Al-Tahous, has issued death sentences to two Indian nationals found guilty of participating in an international narcotics syndicate. The ruling marks the conclusion of a high-profile security operation led by the Ministry of Interior, which effectively dismantled a plot to import substantial amounts of illegal drugs into Kuwait.
The arrests took place during targeted raids in Kaifan and Shuwaikh conducted by the Drug Control General Department. During these operations, officers intercepted 14 kilograms of heroin and 8 kilograms of methamphetamine. Officials confirmed that the swift action prevented the shipment from entering the local market. The Ministry of Interior reiterated its “zero-tolerance” policy regarding drug smuggling, vowing to maintain rigorous enforcement to safeguard the community.
