As part of ongoing efforts to improve security and maintain order in the country, the Ministry of Interior launched a security and traffic operation on major roads and highways early Thursday morning, November 28, 2024.
The campaign involved several key departments, including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, the Public Security Sector, and the Special Security Sector.
The operation resulted in the following outcomes:
- 1,790 traffic violations recorded
- 9 individuals arrested for absconding
- 11 individuals arrested under outstanding arrest warrants
- 12 individuals detained for violating residency and labor laws
- 1 person apprehended with narcotics in possession
- 3 wanted vehicles seized
- 41 vehicles impounded for traffic offenses
- 4 minors referred to Juvenile Investigations
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that these operations are part of a broader strategy to enhance security and public order. The efforts will continue to target violators and wanted individuals to ensure a safe and stable environment across the country.
