The Ministry of Interior announced today the arrest of a criminal gang involved in a large-scale residency fraud operation. The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations apprehended several individuals who were allegedly operating fake companies and forging official documents to issue illegal residency permits.
In a statement shared on their social media channels, the ministry revealed that the gang charged between 300 and 500 Kuwaiti dinars per worker for their services. Investigators also discovered that the group had illegally transferred workers already in Kuwait to these bogus companies.
The suspects have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action. The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to enforcing the law rigorously, warning that security forces will continue to remain vigilant against anyone attempting to breach Kuwait’s legal framework.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to tackle residency fraud and safeguard the integrity of the country’s labor market and immigration system.
