Astronomical experts have issued a warning that the climatic period known as “Al-Ahmar’s Strike” will commence on Tuesday, November 11. This season marks a turbulent, 40-day transition between autumn and winter, with unstable weather expected to last until the winter solstice on December 20.
Key Weather Conditions and Risks
This period is traditionally known for sudden and unpredictable atmospheric volatility throughout the Arabian Gulf, including:
- Strong and Active Winds: A defining feature of the “Strike.”
- Storms and Turbulent Seas: Historically posing grave risks due to high waves.
- Cloud Formation and Rainfall: Intermittent rain is expected.
- Temperature Drop: A noticeable shift referred to as the “autumn cold.”
Badr Al-Amirah, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, confirmed that the coming weeks will be “accompanied by atmospheric instability, strong winds, cloud formation, and intermittent rain.”
