Ministry of Interior Cracks Down on Illegal Overtaking
9th, Oct, 2025: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) issued a strict warning on Wednesday regarding overtaking or deliberately obstructing traffic at U-turns and highway exits. The MOI stressed that these dangerous maneuvers will not be tolerated, citing the serious risks they pose to road safety.
Violators face fines ranging from KD 15 to KD 20. Furthermore, traffic police are authorized to impound vehicles involved in such offenses for up to two months. Repeat offenders will be escalated and referred to the traffic court for legal action. The Ministry urged all drivers to follow traffic laws and prioritize safety.
