Counterfeit Imported Liquor Busted in Mahboula Home
Oct, 1, 2025: Security officials have dismantled a sophisticated home factory in Mahboula used for manufacturing and trafficking counterfeit imported liquor.
The operation centered on an expatriate woman who was using her residence to produce and store illicit alcohol, applying fake stickers to make the products look like expensive imports.
In the raid, officers confiscated more than 300 bottles of finished alcohol intended for sale, alongside the equipment, tools, and raw materials used in the large-scale production.
The woman is now in custody and has been referred to the Public Prosecution following questioning about her supply chain, distribution network, and how long the illegal trade had been running.
