The Court of Appeal, led by Judge Hassan Al-Shammari, has sentenced a Kuwaiti man to four years in prison for counterfeiting 20-dinar banknotes and distributing them to various victims, including stall and shop owners, as well as delivery service workers. The defendant used these individuals to spread the counterfeit bills in the market.
Security forces arrested the man after receiving several reports about fake currency in circulation. In a coordinated operation, they caught him red-handed with counterfeit money in his possession. Authorities also found printing equipment and other tools at his home, linking him directly to the counterfeiting operation.
