Two Police Officers Arrested for Bribery and Falsification of Records at Nuwaiseeb Port

The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two police officers involved in a bribery scheme at Nuwaiseeb Port. The officers were accused of falsifying entry and exit records in exchange for bribes.

According to a statement from the Security Media Department on Wednesday, investigations by the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations at Nuwaiseeb Port, revealed that the officers conspired to carry out fake transactions for monetary gain. Each fraudulent transaction reportedly involved a bribe of 100 Kuwaiti dinars.

The investigation uncovered that the officers manipulated computer systems to record false entry and exit data. After obtaining the necessary legal approvals, the two individuals were arrested. During questioning, they confessed to accepting bribes and executing the fraudulent activities.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that legal actions have been taken against the accused, who have been referred to the relevant authorities. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to combating corruption, upholding justice, and ensuring the integrity of security operations.
