68 Foreign Nationals Detained in Kuwait Security Operation for Visa Infractions

As part of ongoing security campaigns targeting residency and labor law violators, Assistant Undersecretary for Special Security Affairs Major General Abdullah Safah led an operation yesterday afternoon in Hawalli, Sulaibiya Industrial Area, and Kabd. This campaign resulted in the detention of 68 expatriates of various nationalities for residency law violations and other charges.

A security source reported that the operation began in Hawalli, where checkpoints were set up at entrances and exits for an hour and a half. This initial phase led to the detention of 19 expatriates for residency and labor law violations. The security team then moved to the Sulaibiya Industrial Area, where they detained 20 violators and wanted expatriates involved in absconding cases. The final phase of the campaign took place in Kabd, where checkpoints were established, and the camel market was raided, resulting in the detention of 29 expatriates, some of whom had absconding cases and were wanted by authorities. A security source confirmed that these campaigns against residency and labor law violators will continue uninterrupted until the issue of illegal labor and violators is completely eradicated.
