The Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently discovered that a food company was engaging in illegal activity when it was discovered to be hoarding molasses and outdated food. Remarkably, the business also manipulated expiration dates and then resold these tampered goods to cafes and restaurants by pretending to be a wholesaler.

The Ministry acted decisively, taking control of and closing the business located in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area after becoming concerned about the company’s behavior. The Ministry has declared that the company’s actions “pose a serious threat to the health and safety of consumers,” and legal action has been taken against it.
