Kuwait Coast Guard stops attempt to smuggle 50 kg of cannabis

In a major operation, the Coast Guard and Narcotics Control intercepted an attempt to smuggle 50 kg of cannabis worth 150,000 Kuwaiti dinars.

As part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to combat drug dealers and smugglers, the Coast Guard arrested four people involved in a sea smuggling attempt. Using advanced radar, the Coast Guard tracked and captured the suspects, seizing the contraband.

During routine maritime border monitoring, the Coast Guard received intelligence about the smuggling attempt. After a thorough investigation and obtaining legal permissions, officers apprehended the suspects and confiscated the cannabis.

The operation was overseen by Major General Mujbil Bin Shouq, Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Affairs, and other Coast Guard leaders. The suspects and seized drugs have been handed over to authorities for further legal action.
