Kuwait steps up enforcement against housing violations

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah conducted a security inspection in the Hawalli area on Tuesday to address residential violations. This is part of ongoing efforts to enforce the law fairly and impartially. According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards violators who prioritize financial gain over the rights of workers. He stressed that the law applies universally and will be strictly enforced without exceptions.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef also highlighted the need to rectify all residential violations and ensure compliance with property regulations, particularly those misused for purposes other than their intended use. Earlier in the day, the Minister of Interior visited a shelter center for individuals violating residency and work laws (Article 20), as part of comprehensive inspections across ministry sectors.

In a press statement, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef expressed commitment to improving living conditions at the shelter center, ensuring adequate provisions, and expediting procedures for the departure of its residents from the country. He praised the collaborative efforts of local entities in supporting the Interior Ministry to equip the center, and emphasized the stringent security measures and decent living conditions provided there.- KUNA
