Al-Hilal Defeats Messi and Inter Miami in a Thrilling Seven-goal Match

January 30, RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP): Inter Miami and Lionel Messi lost 4-3 to Al-Hilal to begin their Saudi Arabian tour.
As part of their preseason training, the Major League Soccer team is spending two games in the oil-rich country of Riyadh; nevertheless, even Messi was unable to lead them to victory.
Malcom scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute, although Messi registered a penalty kick in the second half.

When Messi left Paris Saint-Germain and became the sport’s most sought-after free agent last year, Al-Hilal was heavily linked to a move for the player.
In the end, he decided to relocate to Miami to play for David Beckham’s squad, and he soon helped the team win its first trophy—the Leagues Cup.
In his first full season, he and Miami will be looking for even greater success. As part of the preparations, he will go on a lengthy trip that will stop in Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and Japan.

The most anticipated encounter is likely to be a matchup with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nasser on Thursday.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, a former striker for Fulham and Newcastle, gave Al-Hilal the lead in the tenth minute, and three minutes later, Abdullah Al-Hamdan doubled it.

Luis Suarez, another of Miami’s marquee acquisitions, pulled one back, but Michael restored Al-Hilal’s two-goal lead in the 44th.
After Messi’s breakthrough in the 54th minute, David Ruiz equalized the score one minute later.
Malcom found the victory right as it appeared that Miami and the other team were tied.
