Court affirms girl accused of drug trafficking’s acquittalThe Criminal Court’s decision to exonerate a Kuwaiti girl accused of trafficking in cannabis and psychoactive substances like “Tramadol and Methamphetamine” and to forgo punishing her for her use of these substances was upheld by the Court of Appeals.

Under a KD 1,000 financial guarantee, the court ordered her to maintain good behavior and conduct and to refrain from drug use for a year. Additionally, it mandated that she be placed under the supervision of a worker with expertise in the aftercare division and that she appear in person twice a month so that samples can be taken to make sure she is not abusing drugs. As stated in the case file, The citizen was charged by the prosecution with possessing hashish, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic substances like methamphetamine and tramadol with the intention of abusing and trafficking them. Regarding the merits of its decision, the Court of Appeals upheld the finding that the girl’s accusation of using drugs—both narcotic and psychotropic—was verified.

The prosecution accused the citizen of having hashish, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic substances like tramadol and methamphetamine with the intent to traffic and abuse them.
