Kuwait Airport Prepares for Summer Travel Season

Brigadier Bader Al-Shaya, Director of the Airport Security General Department at Kuwait International Airport, stated that preparations for the summer travel season are underway to simplify departure and arrival procedures, as reported by Al-Rai daily. The summer season, lasting 105 days from June to mid-September, is expected to see 5.5 million passengers on 42,000 flights.

To manage this, all passport control counters are operational, with quick processing times for stamping passports. Facilities are available for those who need to clear debts or fines before traveling. Efforts are in place to prevent illegal entry into Kuwait, including the arrest and deportation of individuals attempting to use forged or stolen passports.

Additionally, residents of other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can obtain visit visas upon arrival if they meet specific criteria. Since the start of biometric processing, almost one million passengers have had their biometrics taken, with dedicated centers established for this purpose.
