In a recent ruling, the Court of Cassation, led by Counselor Sultan Bouresli, upheld the death penalty for two Iranians convicted of smuggling 189 kilograms of hashish and psychotropic substances by sea from Kubbar Island. The Coast Guard and Drug Control Department intercepted them. The defendants, who admitted to using heroin, confessed to smuggling drugs from Abadan to Kuwait.
