Kuwait requires appointments for biometrics

The Ministry of Interior is advising people to schedule appointments in advance using the “Meta” platform on the government’s electronic services app, “Sahel,” before going to designated biometric fingerprinting centers. The Ministry stressed that they won’t accept walk-ins without a prior appointment. They assured that the appointment system set up by the General Department of Forensic Evidence ensures everyone gets a slot before the deadline.

Concerning overcrowding at the centers, the Ministry explained that incidents were swiftly dealt with and attributed the crowding to people showing up without appointments. They reminded everyone of the three-month deadline, running from March 1, 2024, to June 1, 2024, for citizens and residents to get their biometric fingerprints done, warning of transaction suspensions for non-compliance. Fingerprinting services are available at border crossings, Kuwait International Airport, and various centers across the country.
